As a child I remember visiting the Festival of the Masters at Walt Disney World Resort, Florida. Years ago we had a friend who was invited to show his ocean-scapes there.
I just love the way Disney brings arts and culture together inside its parks through theme park design.
Maybe not as obvious to park guests but works of painting, sculpture, theater, music, film and more come together to create the parks that people experience. Craft that often missed or written off as "low art" or merely entertainment.
More obvious is a show like the Festival of Masters. The 38 year old art festival is free and certainly worth the drive if you are in Florida! Don't miss the chalk art all around Downtown Disney. Very beautiful works with a very short lifespan.
Here's this year's Festival of the Masters information.
